Last updated: 19 January 2026

1. About the firm

SRL DIGILAW is a law firm based in Brussels, operating under the Lawgitech brand. The firm specialises in technology law, artificial intelligence, digital data, and cybersecurity. In the course of its legal, educational, and communication activities, the firm uses certain artificial intelligence tools. This charter aims to clearly and transparently inform anyone visiting the firm's website about how these tools are used.

2. Purpose of using artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence is used by the firm solely as an assistive tool, in particular for:
  • documentary research and information organisation,
  • analysis and structuring of legal and regulatory content,
  • preparation of educational and training materials,
  • assistance in drafting non-decisional content,
  • development and maintenance of internal technical tools,
  • production of audio and video content for informational or educational purposes.
Artificial intelligence never replaces the lawyer. It is never used to provide autonomous legal advice, make decisions in place of a legal professional, or act without human oversight.

3. Artificial intelligence tools used

As of the publication date of this charter, SRL DIGILAW exclusively uses the following tools:
  • Claude (Anthropic) Used for development assistance and code analysis, as well as for internal technical tasks.

No other artificial intelligence tool is used for professional purposes without prior internal validation.

4. Principles applied by the firm

4.1 Human primacy

All legal analyses, positions and recommendations of the firm are developed, verified and assumed by lawyers. Artificial intelligence tools have no decision-making power.

4.2 Control, critical thinking and reliability

Content generated or assisted by AI is systematically reviewed, verified, and corrected if necessary. The firm is aware that AI systems can produce errors or approximations and applies heightened vigilance.

4.3 Proportionate and responsible use

AI is used only when it provides genuine added value, within strictly defined limits, without excessive automation or misuse.

5. Data protection and confidentiality

5.1 Professional secrecy

The firm does not input data covered by attorney-client privilege or identifiable confidential information about its clients into artificial intelligence tools, except within a specific and secure contractual framework.

5.2 Personal data

When the use of AI indirectly involves personal data:
  • only strictly necessary data is used,
  • anonymisation or pseudonymisation is preferred,
  • no sensitive data is processed without appropriate prior analysis.
The firm applies the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as applicable European and Belgian rules.

6. Excluded uses

The firm undertakes not to use artificial intelligence to:
  • profile, monitor or assess individuals,
  • automate individual legal decisions,
  • covertly influence or manipulate clients or third parties,
  • present a result as imposed, validated or guaranteed by an artificial intelligence.
AI is an assistive tool, not an authority.
